Interpol hops on tour with U2

U2 continues their 360º tour & they’ve studded it out with other acts, now including New York’s Interpol.  Also along for the ride are Lenny Kravitz and the Fray.  Kinda strange lineup … ?

100-Plus Stars to Appear on MTV’s Haiti Benefit

MTV’s “Hope for Haiti” television special will air commercial-free this Friday, January 22nd at 8pm on MTV, CNN, VH1 and most every other major network.  Jay-Z, Bono, Bruce Springsteen and Coldplay are among the 100-plus stars who will appear on the show.

Jay-Z And U2 To Collaborate On Haiti Benefit Song

Over the years, artist collaborations have become run-of-the-mill; it’s not often that one stumbles across an album without a track featuring a guest artist. One such collaboration is in the works, but this one has come about as a financial aid gesture in a time of catastrophe. In light of the recent earthquake that ravaged Haiti, Jay-Z and U2 will together record a song to benefit the people of Haiti.

U2’s “360 Tour” is North America’s most popular in ‘09

With ticket revenue of $123 million for 20 North  American dates on their “360 tour,” Irish rockers U2 have been named the year’s most popular touring act in North America. The tour is still ongoing internationally and will revisit the states in 2010.

U2 announced as Glastonbury headliner

Irish rockers U2 will headline Friday night at the UK’s Glastonbury Festival in June, 2010, festival promoters announced today. They are slated to cap the night of the Friday, June 25th, at the 40th anniversary of the festival, which runs from June 23-27.
