Yes, if you haven’t already heard, The Smashing Pumpkins velvety lead singer and pop’s favorite Chicken of Sea fan have been seeing each other for some time now and are currently working together in the studio with producer Kelly Brown.

Brown is also The Smashing Pumpkins’ producer for their upcoming release Teargarden by Kaleidyscop.

Simpson must be honing in on her inner rock-star. On January 9 she tweeted about Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page, saying “Happy Birthday Jimmy Page!! You have always been one of my favorites .”

She started with pop, then tried out country, now it seems Ms. Simpson is trying her hand at rock ‘n roll. I’m not exactly sure where this Corgan/Simpson duet is going, but Billy wouldn’t let his fans down, would he? Clichéd but, love does work in mysterious ways.

Said Corgan in a web post: “Free will mean free, which means you won’t have to sign up for anything, give an email address, or jump through a hoop. You will be able to go and take the song or songs as you wish, as many times as you wish.”
