Pavement has made a lot of 90s music fans very happy this year.  After 10 years of being apart, the band reunited in 2010. They are all over the place this year, particularly making the rounds on the festival circuit.  Their influential low-fi indie rock made them one of the most popular bands of the 1990s.

Pitchfork Music Festival has announced their 2010 lineup, and boy is it a doozy. Pavement, Modest Mouse and LCD Soundsystem are the headliners (!). And for a festival that is $90 for the weekend, those acts alone make Pitchfork a pretty solid investment.

Finally, some good news for the 2010 music festival circuit. The Pitchfork Music Festival will return to Chicago this summer, and there is a significant amount of buzz around recently-reunited Pavement as a potential headliner. 

Pavement will join Broken Social Scene and Band of Horses at a day long concert on Toronto’s Olympic Island.  This marks another reunion show for Pavement, who just added Coachella as one of their stops in 2010.
