To make it in today’s ever-shifting musical climate, artists may have to take up a certain cause near to their hearts to maintain the buzz surrounding their names. Lady Gaga has taken this sentiment to heart, as she’s designing a new line of condoms for a charitable cause.

Yep, you read correctly; Gaga wants her “little monsters,” as she refers to her fans, to wrap their little monsters in something she’s designed. The proceeds from the sales of these prophylactics, which will come in ribbed, studded, and sheer, will benefit Planned Parenthood. At least if she’s going to try to make a cheap buck on a relatively risque shock product, the proceeds will benefit something that actually matters.

Elton John/Lady Gaga duet at Grammys?

Sir Elton & The Lady, The Lady & Sir Elton – get used to it.

Rumors are swirling that Elton John (whose “Sir” comes from the Queen) and Lady Gaga (whose “Lady” comes from …herself?) are working up a “showstopping” duet for the 52nd Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. According to a Grammy source, “Elton and Lady Gaga on the same stage is sure to create fireworks, it could be one of the most memorable Grammy performances of all time.”

The last time John popped up for a “memorable” Grammy performance was in 2001, teaming up with Eminem for a version of the rapper’s “Stan.”

The burning questions for this possible duet: One piano? Two pianos? Elton song? Gaga song?

One thing is a virtual certainty - the wardrobe department at The Staples Center will be a busy place Sunday night.

Lady Gaga Collapses

“I hope you can forgive me. I love my little monsters more than anything, you are everything to me.”

This is the apology Lady Gag posted on her Twitter page, referring to last night’s concert cancellation in Indiana, after she collapsed backstage from exhaustion and dehydration.

The paramedics checked her after the fall and diagnosed the singer with a regular heartbeat.

Gaga has been on tour since late November of last year, after the release of her newest album The Fame Monster, or what she refers to as an extension of her debut album The Fame.

“An hour before the show I was feeling dizzy and having trouble breathing,” she explained.

The Indiana show, which was held at Purdue University, has been rescheduled to January 26.

Gaga is on her last leg of her North American tour, scheduled to hit Atlantic City, Connecticut and New York in the next few weeks.

On February 18 she will begin her three month European portion of the tour.

“I am so devastated,” she tweeted. “I have performed with the flu, a cold, strep throat: I would never cancel a show just based on discomfort.”
