Drive-By Truckers have announced the first part of their tour and have also released a free mp3 of the first single off the new album. The Athens natives’ new album, The Big To-Do, will be released on March 16 on ATO Records.

ATO records  has picked up another Athens band (they’ve already got the Whigs), announcing the signing of Drive By Truckers for the band’s major label debut, The Big To-Do (set for release on March 16, 2010).
The 13 song album was recorded in Athens by longtime Truckers favorite David Barbe.
“It’s very much a rock album,” says Patterson Hood of the Trucker’s upcoming release. “Very melodic and more rocking than anything we’ve done since disc 2 of Southern Rock Opera.”
