With ticket revenue of $123 million for 20 North  American dates on their “360 tour,” Irish rockers U2 have been named the year’s most popular touring act in North America. The tour is still ongoing internationally and will revisit the states in 2010.

Alexa Ray Joel, daughter of the “Piano Man” Billy Joel was rushed to a New York City hospital early Saturday afternoon following an apparent pill overdose.
Joel, whose mother is actress Christie Brinkley (Billy Joel and Brinkley divorced in 1994) was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital after paramedics responded to a frantic phone call from a friends telling the dispatcher that Joel had swallowed eight pills. It is not clear whether the overdose was accidental or an attempt at suicide, not was information regarding the type of pills immediately available.
