Now that Ticketmaster and Live Nation have merged, the fate of ticket prices for big acts, like, say, Dave Matthews Band is unknown. But what we can report is that the Dave Matthews Band has announced its 2010 North American Tour.

DMB will spend the earlier part of the new year touring Europe, but will make its way back to the U.S. at the end of May and will travel to several familiar venues until the end of September.

One aspect of DMB’s new tour that will probably make fans happy is the addition of general admission tickets at every show except Bethel, Clarkston, Hollywood Bowl and Shoreline. The remaining cities with amphitheatres will open up sales for lawn general admission seating, while stadiums and arenas will make the pit available for general admission ticket holders. Usually, a GA stamp means cheaper tickets rather than un-Godly prices that make you cry when you hand over the credit card. But this is just speculation, so if you’re planning on attending a DMB show this summer, check the venue’s website just to be sure.
