Tuesday, January 31st, 2012People are being more and more aware of the harm they cause to the environment. With this awakening, people are looking for environment friendly alternatives to replace harmful old habits. A very good example is the replacement of the use of plastic bags with reusable bags. It is usually made of cloth or net, durable and easy to clean materials that are very convenient for grocery shopping. Other stores have already joined in the campaign and do not use plastic bags in packing their products. There are also other shops that offer discounts if you bring your own bag and pack your purchase with it, this way they are encouraging buyers to get into the habit.
Another good way to help the environment is to get into the habit of recycling materials that can be used to create other useful products. An excellent example of this is the use of seed paper. It is totally made of recycled paper processed to create a paper that has a different texture and character. It comes in different colors and designs. It is great for gifts and card, invitation letters and envelops. Also, it does not add to waste because seed papers can be planted. It can be planted in a small pot will some soil and enough water. The paper is cut as the pots size and planted like a seed. Usually, seeds of wild grass and flowers are used in this material. These two practices just goes to show that by changing the habits that we are used to, we can help save the environment.
