Beyonce’s sister Solange has a lot to live up to if she wants to break free from the shadow of her sister. The 23-year-old singer, who has the vocal ability that just may rival her big sister, has taken the indie path, and has already collaborated with two prominent names in the indie rock scene: The Dirty Projectors and Of Montreal.

Pitchfork recently posted a video of Solange singing a cover of Groove Theory’s “Tell Me” with The Dirty Projectors. The set was part of the Opening Ceremony stores grand opening at the Ace Hotel in New York. The group also performed The Dirty Projectors’ “Stillness is the Move.”

It’s an unlikely pairing, but the result is pretty spectacular. Check it out by clicking here.

And to see Solange covering The Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back” click here.

She’s officially redeemed herself for starring in one of those terrible Bring It On remakes. Ugh.
