The Nigerian-born singer-songwriter, composer and record producer Helen Folasade Adu (Sade Adu) is still enjoying success after 20 years in the business. Her latest CD, “Soldier of Love” released by her Grammy winning English group Sade sold over 500,000 copies last week.

501, 655 units to be exact. This number marks the best sales week for a group since the AC/D album was released back in October of 2008.

“Lovers Rock,” Sade’s 2000 release debuted with 370,000 copies sold and peaked at No. 3 on Billboard 200.  However, Sade has experienced No. 1 success before with 1985 release “Promise.”
