Pitchfork Music Festival returns, Pavement rumored headliner

4 February 2010 No Comment

ChicagoSkyline1Finally, some good news for the 2010 music festival circuit. The Pitchfork Music Festival will return to Chicago this summer, and there is a significant amount of buzz around recently-reunited Pavement as a potential headliner.

The festival will be held again in Chicago’s Union Park over the weekend of July 16–18.  The much-anticipated lineup will be announced tomorrow, and tickets will also go on sale tomorrow (Friday) at 12pm CST, 11am EST.  The three-day pass is only $90, and day tickets are selling at $40.

Rumor has it that Pavement, recently reunited after 10 years apart, will be headlining the festival.  The buzz is all over the Internet, and it doesn’t sound too far-fetched as the band has already committed to several festivals this season, Coachella being one of them.  Keep an eye open for that lineup tomorrow, and if it’s awesome, grab tickets on Pitchfork’s website.
