Pitchfork Music Festival lineup announced
Pitchfork Music Festival has announced their 2010 lineup, and boy is it a doozy. Pavement, Modest Mouse and LCD Soundsystem are the headliners (!). And for a festival that is $90 for the weekend, those acts alone make Pitchfork a pretty solid investment. The festival will be held in Chicago’s Union Park on July 16-18. Tickets are on sale today, which you can buy via Pitchfork’s website. They’re going for $90 for a weekend pass, $40 for day passes. Pavement, Modest Mouse, LCD Soundsystem, Raekwon, Here We Go Magic, St. Vincent, Lightning Bolt, Cass McCombs and Sleigh Bells are all confirmed thus far. They will announce more acts during the weeks ahead.
Check out the tentative schedule below. This is Pitchfork’s fifth year running, and they have made a name for themselves as a great festival with solid performances. And their affordable rates (and awesome Chicago location!) make it that much better. Stay tuned for updates on the lineup and schedule.
Friday – Modest Mouse
Saturday – LCD Soundsystem, Raekwon
Sunday- Pavement, St. Vincent, Lightning Bolt, Cass McCombs, Here We Go Magic, Sleigh Bells
