MJ’s doctor pleads not guilty to involuntary manslaughter
Michael Jackson’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, could face up to four years in prison if he’s convicted of the one count of involuntary manslaughter he’s been charged with due to his role in the superstar’s death.
Murray was hired to help Jackson get ready for his arduous touring schedule for his comeback shows. It was reported Jackson died after Murray gave the the pop star general anesthetic and two other sedatives to aid the singer’s insomnia.
The cardiologist was scheduled to surrender today at 4:30 PM ET, after delaying it because his lawyers and prosecutors didn’t agree on the terms of surrender.
Murray pleaded not guilty today in court.
