Mastodon Announce 50+ Tour Dates

8 February 2010 No Comment

mastodonTouring is an integral part of playing in a band; if your band’s going to be heard, it’s probably going to be on the road. Atlanta’s metal heroes Mastodon have taken that message to heart, but they’ve upped the ante. These hard-hitting lunatics embarked today on an international tour with over 50 dates.

In the confusion of booking the dates, someone forgot a minor detail; the band won’t be visiting their Georgian hometown on this go-round. But if you live in Europe or the rest of the United States, wear protective gear, as your face is soon to be melted.

The band began their tour today in Hamburg, Germany, and once they’re done with Europe, they’re off to rock Mexico’s proverbial socks off. If you’re not into Mastodon, these dates still won’t fall close to uneventful; Metallica and Valient Thorr, among others, will be joining them at different points on the tour, so if you like metal, you know where to be when this behemoth of a tour rolls through your town.
