John Mayer Apologizes For Racial Slur
Just when you thought things couldn’t get any weirder for John Mayer, he bounces right back with a racial slur during an interview with Playboy. He apologized for the offensive remark, but through the apparent media of choice for celebrities one and all — his Twitter.
In the interview, Mayer said, “Someone asked me the other day, ‘What does it feel like now to have a hood pass?’And by the way, it’s sort of a contradiction in terms, because if you really had a hood pass, you could call it a n—–r pass. Why are you pulling a punch and calling it a hood pass if you really have a hood pass?” Now that’s a class act.
He did feel bad about his comment, though, as he so sincerely Tweeted: “I am sorry that I used the [N-]word. I should have never said the word and I will never say it again.” He might say some idiotic things, but at least he plays nice afterward.
