Iggy And The Stooges “Raw Power” Box Set Contains Unheard Tracks

When Iggy and the Stooges’ proto-punk classic Raw Power was released in 1973, critics loathed it and dismissed it immediately. A lot has changed since then, and it’s gotten a lot more attention; it’s set to be re-released on April 27th, and with a slew of previously unheard bonus tracks.
This album’s not merely a classic — it’s somewhat of a rarity in that it’s the only Stooges album to feature James Williamson on lead guitar instead of the late Ron Asheton, and it’s arguably the grittiest of the Stooges’ releases. This is an especially big deal for Stooges fans everywhere, and with 15 demos, unheard songs and remixes included with the record’s box set, what’s not to love? Go ahead and mark April 27th on your calendar so you don’t forget to run out and get this masterpiece when it hits stores.
