Guns N’ Roses leading man Axl Rose has made a presence in the media as of late, getting saved from a knife-wielding fan at a show and telling off the music journalism industry for publishing faulty information. Tsk, tsk.

We’ll start with a tale of heroism.

According to Billboard.com, Guns N’ Roses were performing their second gig in a row at New York’s Rose Bar, when a man from the back of the crowd forced his way toward the stage and flipped open a switchblade, ex-Skid Row rocker Sebastian Bach and Mickey Rourke saw the man approaching the stage and prevented the man from harming any of the band members.

Bach was reported as saying, “Nobody is getting anywhere near my man Axl Rose with a knife!”

In other Axl news, the rocker expressed his frustrations with the music news media after the celebrity stalker news outlet TMZ falsely reported that at a Guns N’ Roses show in Canada, Rose told all audience members who were rocking Slash t-shirts, to turn them inside out. TMZ reported what was found to be a false rumor, and Rose posted his frustrations via twitlonger.com:

“So in closing…Fuck the LA Times, TMZ, Contact Music n’ Spinner. I don’t need “forgiven” for alleged n’ fabricated nonsense. I’ve no respect for mean spirited aholes gettin’ paid talkin’ shit at other’s expense or irresponsible biased partisan politics wanna be journalism by dated hacks. Go on! Back ur boy! But when he says he never killed no one that ain’t exactly true. Yeah, that’s right, stone cold. So if we happen to play your neighborhood or for that matter anywhere at anytime regardless of the circumstances, presales, public sales, give aways, even free shows consider yourself uninvited. It’s a free country but you’re formally n’ publicly not welcome.

Bottom line is we ain’t makin’ efforts to rain on ur parade why piss on or take cheap shots at r’s. Oh that’s rt…how u make ur livin’s all that counts not others, whatever. U ain’t above anyone regardless of who or what corporation u work for n’ unfortunately most of u’ll get to learn that the hard way.”

Yikes!
