The National Announce New LP, Supporting Tour
If you missed 2006’s Boxer from melodramatic indie rockers The National, you might want to get on that before their new album drops this year. You’ll want to know the songs when you catch them on the album’s supporting tour.It seemed like it would never happen; their last album got rave reviews, but it’s been four long years since a release, and many doubted another would ever come. The album can be expected to drop in May from 4AD.
The band will premiere the new material at the Big Ears festival in March, but they’ll wait a little while before heading across the country. If you’re interested, the dates of their 2010 gigs thus far are as follows:
March
26-28 Knoxville, TN – Tennessee Theatre (Big Ears Festival)

22 Richmond, VA – The National
